Chiropractic Care and Services

Our Integrated Approach to Care

At Ocean Health Center , we offer chiropractic adjustments to correct misalignments of joints in the spine and extremities. We combine this with rehab exercises that are designed to improve movement patterns. Our examination seeks to discover strength, function and range of motion deficits and correct those with customized care. We primarily use hands-on, manual adjustments, but are also able to use instrument-assisted adjustments, such as activator.

Our Therapies

  • Dry Needling: Using acupuncture needles to directly target trigger points, muscle knots and spasms. Reduces pain and inflammation.
  • Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS): Neurological re-education and motor reprogramming to retrain the brain to use proper movement patterns.
  • Instrument-assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM): Technique that employs instruments to break up scar tissue and release myofascial adhesions. Creates mobility in soft tissues.
  • Kinesio Taping: Increases blood flow, improves mobility and supports muscle structures while acting as a cue to self-correct posture. The tape stays on for 48-72 hours, promoting healing. Can be used anywhere on the body.
  • Rehab: Targeted exercise therapy for injury recovery or prevention, stability or strength. Your chiropractor will coach you through the movements to ensure safe execution of the exercises. We’ll also give you at-home exercises to help facilitate healing.
  • Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA): Diagnostic procedure to locate motion deficits and determine where corrective care is needed.
